Can you make money blogging?  Is blogging a pathway to a career as a media doctor?  Why blog at all?  All these questions will be answered in this presentation by Danielle Esler, a GP, public health physician and “mummy blogger”.  Danielle commenced blogging five years ago on her site “Bubs on the Move”.  Blogging has given her an outlet where she can combine both her personal life as a mum with three children with her experience as doctor.   Blogging gives her a space that allows her to publicly own and reflect on the double life that medical parents experience. 

In her presentation Danielle will share her own journey into blogging with practical tips for other medical parents thinking of starting a blog, or that are already blogging.  The challenges of blogging including ethical pitfalls, the child's right to privacy, and brand relationships will also be explored.
