Dr Alison Stacey MBBS (Hons), BMedSci, DRANZCOG, DCH, FRACGP, Cert IV Breastfeeding Education, IBCLC Dr Alison Stacey completed her medical degree at The University of Melbourne in 2005. Aiming for a career in family medicine, and with an interest in women’s health, she obtained the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG), prior to becoming a Fellow of the RACGP in 2011. Alison’s interest in Breastfeeding Medicine increased following the birth of her first child in 2012. Seeking support from other breastfeeding mothers, she joined the Australian Breastfeeding Association. Alison completed her Cert IV in Breastfeeding Education (Counselling) and subsequently qualified as an ABA breastfeeding counsellor soon after her second child was born in 2015. Alison now works in General Practice in Gippsland, Victoria. Alison is a member of the physicians-only Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She qualified as an IBCLC in 2018.
