Dr Lynn Townsend is an enthusiastic Obstetrician Gynaecologist. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sydney and was awarded the Royal North Shore Medal during her final year. Lynn also holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physiology from the University of New South Wales. Lynn is a lecturer within the Medical Faculty at UNSW and teaches medical students and junior medical officers. She recently received an Excellence Award for Senior Staff Teaching at UNSW. Lynn holds membership with a number of professional associations including ASUM and SOMANZ. Her interests include genetic screening tests, placentae and ultrasound investigation of infertility. Being a mother of three energetic daughters herself, Lynn has an understanding and genuine interest in all aspects of pregnancy and women’s health.
